In response to the request of the AFP Sergeant Major, FCMS Guillermo P Francisco PA, AFPEBSO conducted an Information Drive during the Sergeants Major Forum at Daza Park Pavilion in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City on 24 April 2013. The activity was attended by not less than 100 Sergeant Majors from AFP units all over the country.
Two video presentations were shown to give a short background about AFPEBSO, its mandate and its programs. After the video presentation, AFPEBSO Administrative Manager CPT JEAN ALIA Y ROBLES PA and four of AFPEBSO staff gave a short orientation on the different programs for military personnel and their dependents. After the orientation, questions and clarifications were gathered from the audience and were given clear and comprehensive answers.
One of the Sergeants Major also called the management’s attention regarding the lack of partner schools in Zambales area, more specifically in Olongapo City, he added that many families of military personnel reside in the said area and could definitely benefit if AFPEBSO established partnerships in the schools located there. In response to this comment, the Administrative Manager of AFPEBSO assured the audience that this will be taken into consideration with regards to the planning of AFPEBSO’s Scholarship Generation Program.
During the said information drive, a short survey was also conducted to assess the services provided by AFPEBSO. The data gathered from this study will then be used as basis in identifying and improving on the weaknesses in the benefit delivery system of AFPEBSO. The activity was also attended by AFPEBSO Finance Manager MAJ LORVINA N LAMUG PA.
