CAMP AGUINALDO, QUEZON CITY – The Armed Forces of the Philippines Educational Benefit System (AFPEBS) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Mercury Drug Foundation Incorporated (MDFI) on Wednesday, February 15, 2017.
The Deputy Chief of Staff, AFP and also the Chairperson of the AFPEBS Board of Trustees, VADM NARCISO A VINGSON JR AFP led the AFPEBS in sealing the deal with MDFI headed by MRS. VIVIAN QUE-AZCONA, MDFI President. Also present in the event are some members of the AFPEBS BOT and representatives from MDFI.
The AFPEBS-MDFI Scholarship Program will mainly cater AFP dependents who are taking up Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. AFPEBSO’s newest partner has generously offered tuition and miscellaneous fees for the qualified dependents of AFP members. They will also give monthly allowance to cover food and transportation expenses of the grantee for every month the grantee is enrolled. Lastly, MDFI shall offer job to Mercury Drug Corporation upon graduating.
On behalf of the AFPEBS, The Deputy Chief of Staff VADM VINGSON closed the program by expressing his sincerest gratitude to MDFI for helping the office’s mission of “Leaving No Soldier’s Orphan Behind.”
