Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City – The Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) turned over a check donation worth PhP2,880,000.00 to the AFP Educational Benefit System Office (AFPEBSO) in a ceremony held last October 4, 2016 at the PVAO Building.
The amount will be managed by the AFPEBSO to assist in the education of its beneficiaries, specifically the dependents of soldiers who were Killed-in-Action (KIA) or completely incapacitated or discharged for disability.

Carolina, PVAO Administrator and LTGEN SALVADOR MELCHOR B MISON JR., The Deputy Chief of Staff, AFP and Chairman, AFPEBS signed the Memorandum of Agreement on the educational benefit program. Mr. Raul Z. Caballes, Deputy Administrator of PVAO and CDR DWIGHT STEVEN M DULNOAN, Chief/General Manager of AFPEBSO signed as witnesses.
The MOA stipulates that the AFPEBSO shall manage the yearly benefits of tuition fee payment and stipend to 145 grantees for School Year 2016-2017.
PVAO has been a partner of the AFPEBSO for over five years now and had since helped in the education of our brave soldiers’ orphans. As of August 2016, there are 4,052 successful PVAO-AFPEBS scholars nationwide, who were able to graduate college.
The AFPEBSO extends its gratitude to the leadership and management of PVAO for being one with the organization’s commitment in “leaving no soldier’s orphan behind.”
