The AFPEBSO gained new partners in Zamboanga City and Dipolog City after visiting both cities last March 14-16, 2016.
Led by its Chief/General Manager, COL GENARO C MENOR, a team from AFPEBSO went to Universidad de Zamboanga and Dipolog City Institute of Technology to witness the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA).
The Universidad de Zamboanga has agreed to provide two (2) scholarship slots covering 100% free tuition and miscellaneous fees for Medal of Valor recipients and their dependents.
It will also offer two (2) scholarship slots covering 100% free tuition fee for dependents of combat and non-combat casualties; two (2) scholarship slots covering 50% free tuition fee for dependents of Active Military Personnel; and one (1) scholarship slot for every two thousand (2,000) student population covering 100% free tuition fee for CAFGU and Active Military Personnel.
The Dipolog City Institute of Technology is yet to determine the number of scholarship slots but it already agreed to provide 100% discount on tuition and miscellaneous fees to dependents of combat and non-combat casualties, active military personnel, and CAFGU Active Auxiliary.
Currently, the MOA with the two schools are being finalized in time for the implementation this coming school year.
